UIN Jakarta Choir, Indonesia

UIN Jakarta Choir was born at January 22^nd, 1992 in Universitas Islam Negeri Jakarta (State Islamic University of Jakarta). Currently the UIN Jakarta Choir is leaded by Taufan Maulana Firdaus as the President and Afdhal Zikri, S.S as the Conductor. UIN Jakarta Choir made its success to be awarded a Silver Medal Champion at the 22^nd ITB Choir Festival 2010, a national choir festival in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, as its first participation in that competition. Then, the latest concert of UIN Jakarta Choir was held in two parts at September 30^th and October 12^th, 2011 with “Gubahan: Popular and Folklore” as the title. This concert took place in UIN Jakarta and The Erasmus Huis Building – Holland Embassy in Jakarta. UIN Jakarta Choir proudly presented its own composition which are composed by Afdhal Zikri, the current conductor and member of UIN Jakarta Choir who join this choir since 2003. Moreover, this choir can’t be success without the role of Iwan Buwana Fr as the founder and Tanti Hudoro as the choir coach.
